We’re delighted to welcome Matt Tilley, CEO of FightMND, as our special guest speaker, along with former Australian Test cricketer Damien Fleming as our Guest MC. Matt will share the story of FightMND, the important work being done in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease, and the extraordinary support that has grown around the cause. Guiding us through the afternoon will be Damien Fleming. One of Australia’s finest swing bowlers and now one of the most recognisable voices in cricket broadcasting, Damien is sure to bring plenty of stories, humour and entertainment to the occasion. And what would Beer & Beef be without a great BBQ? Our very own Food Master, Evan Burrows, will be firing up the BBQ and taking charge of the food for the day, serving up a proper Beer & Beef feast to go with Brewmanity’s quality brews. Located in South Melbourne and led by former Melbourne Football Club captain David Neitz, Brewmanity is a firm favourite among Beer & Beef members and the perfect setting for an afternoon built around mateship, community and giving back. With Matt Tilley as guest speaker, Damien Fleming as Guest MC, Evan Burrows on the BBQ and FightMND at the heart of the afternoon, this is shaping up to be a fantastic day. We’re delighted to welcome Sir Richard Hadlee, one of the greatest fast bowlers in the history of international cricket, as our special guest speaker, with Michael Roberts as MC for the afternoon. A true legend of the game, Sir Richard enjoyed an extraordinary international career with New Zealand, becoming the first bowler in Test cricket history to reach 400 wickets and establishing himself as one of the finest all-rounders of his generation. We’re looking forward to hearing stories from his remarkable career, his experiences playing at the highest level of international cricket and his memories of some of the great players, matches and rivalries from an unforgettable era of the game. Our MC Michael Roberts will guide us through the afternoon and what promises to be a fascinating conversation with one of world cricket’s all-time greats. Set in the relaxed surrounds of Bells Hotel, this is shaping up to be another terrific Beer & Beef afternoon filled with great food, great company and plenty of fellowship.
